I think residential colleges offer lots f opportunities to get involved in the community and a small town or village may be just as in need of volunteers as a city.
However, it sounds like the op really wants a college town or something akin to that.
I agree, go for the Robertson, Jefferson, Moorehead, etc 
If you can try to get early t release and take a class at the closest U that isn’t Princeton AND get involved in any kind of research starting this summer at Princeton - not classes but still pretty good. Are you in AoPS?
