college search help- physics, astrophysics

hey,
im going to start visiting colleges, but i seem to be hitting a bump in the road.

i will be majoring in physics, with a focus on astrophysics, so any college has to have both those majors.

so when i put those parameters into the collegeboard search, i only get about half the colleges that i know are out there, some of them are well known too, like penn state, rutgers, and swarthmore.

so is there a better college search tool out there, or what are some good schools that have a very good physics/astrophysics program.

my tops right now are lehigh and colgate

thanks

If I recall, UCSB has an Ivy League caliber physics program.

how about anything on the east coast, primarily new england, mid Atlantic coast

University of Rochester has a large astro group, and a great physics reputation. Also beautiful campus.

Knowing stats would make it a little easier. Cornell has a great astronomy program but I don’t know if that’s the same as physics. It’s a large, science-oriented research university in the northeast so it seems like it would work.
