hahaha thats funny, I'm comfortable enough with myself to not care.

If you shower with a bathing suit you will be considered a loser. Thats not just my opinion its a fact. If they have it who cares its not really that big a deal...what are you scared of that they will see your small *****.

Haha, they sensor the word *****, that's hilarious!

Well, its not that bad... at my school we have open, gym style, showers. 6 shower heads in a 12x8 ft room.
The first 2 weeks there everybody on our floor is required to shower in there are the same time. For under a minutes worth of time.

If we want a "Hollywood Shower" meaning about 5 minutes long, we have to sing while in the shower...
Unfortunately everybody, having watched the movie Top Gun beforehand only knows "You've lost that Loving Feeling" So it gets kinda awkward.

However, it really desensitizes you to showering normally with maybe only a couple other guys in there.

Have none of you ever played a competitive sport and showered after? Its not that weird. That's was wrong with America now, so much insecurity. Half the guys in my dorm would walk from the showers to the toilets naked or get out of the shower and walk to the radiator across the bathroom naked to grab their towels. I don't see why you would care if you had communal showers.

The only college I can think of where they have locker room style showers in the dorms is Wartburg College in Iowa. The bathrooms were not coed though. I would not be surprised if a few more had this same set up.

Depends on the college. In my dorm, there's a latch on each shower door and a shower curtain.

I heard the showers in the quad in UPenn have almost no privacy.

Gil-- There's sufficient privacy, unless your arm is too short to reach your towel on the rack from behind the shower curtain.

Why does it matter? Unless its coed, I doubt anyones looking. And if they are its not your problem. Just change pretty quickly and feel confident and it'll be the other person feeling uncomfortable for being a prude.

Holy smokes. One of the most ridiculous threads by an incoming freshman who needs to enjoy the last moments of his/her life as a kid, not spend every minute agonizing over every little detail.

It was always awkward when I'd be walking to the shower in my towel, and a tour group would walk by.

First of all, it's unlikely that you'll have to shower in the kind of communal shower you're thinking of - almost every dorm shower has partitioning. But really, if you did have to, just suck it up. I know it seems completely horrible now to be gasp naked around other people, but eventually you'll grow out of the pubescent fear of nudity and realize it just isn't that big a deal.

How wierd is it to share a bathroom w/ a bunch of guys?? I just wanted to hear some opinions from some1 who has done it b4 I make up my mind.

Even if they don't, who cares. Really. Nudity isn't going to kill you. People were born without clothes, you know. ;)

coed bathroom isnt bad at all. just dont drop the towel.

I'm sure tons of girls love parading around in just a towel for the attention from guys.

easy what school do you go to?

well, I'm transferring to NYU Stern for the fall... but is that fact pertinent?

prison mike says don't drop the soap!

just wondering. was going to go there too but nyu is way too expensive and not worth it for undergrad.
