I'm a second year college student majoring in pre-med in a college focused solely on medicine. It's not working out anymore. Parents had sort of pushed me into this direction and now I realize I can't do it. I'm not interested at all and can't see myself working as any med profession even if I do get through all the years of schooling including med school. I've brought this up to my parents earlier yet they somehow convinced me to keep going last year.
My sole reason for transferring is i'm not interested in the major. I believe I would be much happier majoring in business administration and open up my own technological shop and possibly go bigger on the web and so on. my gpa is about a 3.0 possibly a 3.2 or 3.4 after this semester. academics first year were relatively easy. and are harder but surpassable with proper studying. Not interested in most of classes and lack motivation to do much for those classes. I don't know if I should keep going or not. I feel like i've wasted 2 years, its already halfway thru feb. should i transfer or not? Other than the major there is nothing holding me here. No other factors matter to me (not location, nor size of school), just the major. some insight please.

Ok, LOTS of students change their mind / wash out about what area they wish to major in college, [particularlily those in very rigorous areas- pre-med, engineering]. It happens a lot. Is it your plan to eventually go to Business school [MBA], or do you want to get a BA in business? Most MBA programs require/ encourage candidates to work for a number of years after undergraduate school. And you dont have top have a degree in Business to apply for MBA programs.
"in a college focused solely on medicine "
What college is this? I've never heard of a college that is "only for pre-meds".

thanks for the responses, I think i'll wait out the rest of college in pre-med and then decide if I want to continue on with med or with MBA. i think i'm just a little bit stressed :) . The college is MCPHS. its not really a pre-med school mainly pharm d actually. pre-med program might not be great here but there's a really good med community if i decide to go into that direction.
