<p>Yea so ive been bombarded with literally thousands of college spam letters which i know mean nothing really, they are all just automated because they got my info from the psat. MIT however sent me a specific letter which was for minority recruitment cause im black that said they like minorities basically and then i got 4 brochure things from them and then a huge packet of a bigg brochure. Do they actually want me or are they automated as well?</p>
<p>Just because it's automated doesn't mean they don't want you. But just because they want you to apply doesn't mean that you'll be admitted if you apply. Apply to the colleges you like, and see where you get in. </p>

<p>I will check that box that says don't send mail/email with the second kid. I'm already feeling bad about the trees lost sending mail to a kid who has no intention of veering more than 15 miles from the west coast and doesn't really care about the rest.</p>
