I know there are many sites out there such as Amazon and Abebooks that provide low cost, high quality books. However, I was wondering if there is a "one general site" that one could just search the isbn and it would list all the websites and its pricing on that book.

For example, I would search for a calculus book, and it would compare the prices from all the college textbooks sites available?

This would reduce time for me, and help me find the best deal.

Does this exist?

Thanks!

Slugbooks is one. It also has a section where you can FB connect with other students who own the book, either the current edition or older edition.

I don’t use it, though, since my college’s online bookstore automatically does a price comparison between their cost and the costs from all the textbook sites available.

allbookstores.com is what I use.

Thanks you guys! Much appreciated.

I always suggest Amazon. I used half.com last semester and it didn’t go well. They don’t even have a phone number and they don’t respond to emails.

Thanks for the responses. Really liked your link, Romanp…

One more question. Do you guys usually have an easy time reselling the books? Do you sell it back to the original site, some local bookstore, or through your U’s bookstore?

I sell my books through Amazon.

I sell mine at either the campus bookstore, or more likely, a local bookstore in town.

And I have never made all of my money back but sometimes you can get quite a bit back.

I sell through a popular site that allows you to rate profs and share notes and such (gets *** out on here). I usually get almost all of my money back because I buy super cheap and sell for about the same.

Just throwing out another one:
