I see how some colleges offer the credit for passing the advanced math placement test given that I have received credit for AP Calculus BC. If I take the test in courses like linear algebra, I will get credit in that college.
So far, I found Upenn and Georgia Tech that do this. Are there any other colleges that give credit for passing math placement test other than what is given for AP Calculus BC 5?
You may have to go to each college’s web site to check. In some cases, the credit by exam for math courses may only be applied to specific majors (e.g. the math department may run the math placement tests and accept them for the math major, but other majors may not accept them).
If you take courses more advanced than calculus BC in high school, it is best to take them through a regionally accredited college if you want credit or placement for them.
If you aren’t taking the course through a 4 year college it can be hard to get credit at the competitive colleges though many schools will give credit for CC classes. Every college has a different policy. A number will give credit by exam to get to a higher class level but not typically for credit hours. These tests are often the final for the college class which few can pass without having taken that class. They often will want to know what textbook you used and save whatever classwork/lab notebooks you have.
Yes, I know. But I am confidnet in passing those exams, so can you please answer my question, not listing out what you know about irrelevant topic?
You HAVE been told the answer to your question. Check with each school. They will have different policies. It makes no sense to ask which of 4000 colleges in the US will give you credit.
