<p>Okay after applying to my college choice i received this im the mail and i don't exactly understand what to write about >_< but this is what it says..</p>
<p>"The Admissions Office requires that you write a personal statement or short essay explaining your aspirations and motivation for attending New Jersey City University. You are expected to prepare this statement thoughtfully and carefully."</p>
<p>should i write about WHY i want to go to this college? or like what made me motivated to go to college >.< eh its so confusing lol</p>
<p>I think they want to know why you want to go to their college, and you can tie in your motivations for going to college in general with that.</p>
<p>Can you give me an idea on what the essay should look like? i seriously don't know where to start.. but as for my motivations for going to college this is a paragraph I've come up with to place into my essay, tell me what you think ^^</p>
<p>when i was 12 i always dreamed to become a hero like batman but i didnt want to be just a police officer i wanted to be something more, someone who can do more behind the shadows to help people and thats when i decided to be an FBI agent. The reason why i even graduated grammer school and made it through my final year of high school was because of batman and this goal i always had in my head since i was just twelve years old. It inspired me to go on through the toughtest times of my life and i just couldnt give up, i kept going until where i am now.</p>
<p>I would try to focus more on why this college, unless they have an exceptionally good criminal justice program or a high rate of graduates going to the FBI, in which case you're on the right track. Also, talk about how an education will help you fulfill those goals - focus on the value of the education you would get from attending this college.</p>

<p>A soccer coach at my school inspired me to want to become a stuident at NJCU, him and I have the same goal in life, to become FBI agents and i think NJCU will help me accomplish this goal that i have had for so many years to come. In my freshmen year of high school i always saw myself to be an NJCU student and graduate and walking toward my future career.</p>

<p>Your topic needs to be focused. Please don't talk about batman unless you can really connect it to the question they asked.</p>
<p>Okay, so you want to be an FBI agent. There are many universities that you could attend to become an FBI agent...why this one?</p>

<p>I think connecting batman to college is quite a stretch. If you can do it, kudos to you, but can't you think of anything else that you could discuss? Something a bit more tangible?</p>
