I think you should definitely visit. Perosnally, I find it ridiculous that people apply to places they haven't visited (of course you can't always visit some really far away places for various reasons). It just seems like a waste of 50 bucks and you're just applying because of its name or something. How do you even know you'd like it there? You know what I mean? I always feel like you have to go so you can picture yourself at the school.

i live in missouri. costs 150 for a plane ticket to go there and back

should i go?

^^If I were you, I'D GO!

well how do you know you'll like the school if you dont go.

It costs $168,000 to go to Penn ... a couple hundred bucks to check it out is nothing compared to the cost of going to college. I would recommend using local colleges to check out big/medium/small, city/suburban/rural, broad/focussed, ... some of the basic dimensions to see if you can start to whittle down the 3000 choices out there ... and then when you have a list of schools you are considering applying to start visiting them.

considering it's where you could end up living for the next four years i'd go so far as to call it foolish not to visit. there have been many cases of students hating what used to be their first choice after visiting, or on the flipside, loving a college they'd never even considered.

It isn't necessary to visit all of your colleges before you apply. Once you see if you get in, then you should visit if you're considering going there. Of course, if Penn is one of your top choices as of now, then it's a good thing to visit early in case you're considering ED.

it would probably help on the "Why Penn.?" essay

yea, the essay.

how do i meet/talk with the adcoms?/
do i get to talk with them for a LONG time? (1 hour), or like, 5 min.?

also, what do we "talk" about...usually, do they ask u questoins, or do i ACtively try to talk with theM?

LMAO! Haha... wow.

lol, none of us said a word about it after it happened.

Uh... someone explain to me the hilarity (yeah, I just made that up b/c I'm brain dead right now) of what just happened... I mean, I can kind of see why... yea...
