Okay well I want you to choose a college for each comparison and it would be great if you post a short reason why for each of your choices......Hopefully you'll help me narrow down my college list.

I'm applying UMiami EA so that is a 100% sure thing. But here is the others...

UCLA vs. USC
UCSD vs. UCI
UCSB vs. UCD
SDSU vs. ASU
LMU vs. UPortland
USD vs. Pepperdine

UCLA- Although I love the Trojans, UCLA is definitely a better school and a much better value.

UCSD- Definitely better academically and a much nicer campus

UCSB- Both similar in academics, but the city of Davis doesn't came anywhere close to Santa Barbara

San Diego State- Although extremely similar in every aspect and both HUGE party schools.... I gotta take San Diego over Tempe and its sweltering heat.

LMU- Beautiful campus and a ton to do around town

USD- Both have GORGEOUS campuses and are 2 of the top schools private schools on the West Coast (behind schools like Stanford and USC).... 2 of the best in the country, but USD is definitely a school on the rise..... # of applicants skyrocketed from 7,000 to 10,000 in the past year. You can't beat the city of San Diego and all its amenities either.

UCLA vs. USC: UCLA hands down, better rep, prettier location
UCSD vs. UCI: UCSD, much better school
UCSB vs. UCD: UCSB: if you're not going to a top UC, might as well go to the one with the most fun
SDSU vs. ASU: ASU, more interesting and dynamic
LMU vs. UPortland: No idea
USD vs. Pepperdine: No idea

UCLA vs. UCSD: UCLA, for the academics
LMU vs. USD: No idea
UPortland vs. Pepperdine: No idea

Wisconsin is a better overall school and just as strong (if not stronger) in UCSD's main area (science). The campus + social life of Madison are miles above UCSD. Athletics, too.
