In Massachusetts, Berklee, UMass Lowell and, I just noticed, Northeastern…

Compmom, the OP has indicated that their requirements are no audition as he does not play an instrument or study music. Berklee, and U Lowell are audition based and Northeastern is portfolio based with compositions required.

^Actually, this is not the music tech poster who didn’t play an instrument or study music. This poster played wind instrument when younger, took 5 years of piano, writes his or her own songs, was in CSUN and remains in his or her church band.

However, the poster didn’t understand about the audition/portfolio requirements of those schools and now does.

Got it! Sorry I confused the two!

if you know any other schools that do not require music proficiency, please share. i can play piano and guitar, but i do not have much confidence in them. hahah.
i checked out belmont, but i can’t seem to find music technology?

one last question. i recently visited northeastern’s website and listened to the jukebox samples and they were all electronic type music. is that the kind of music i have to submit or are songs (like the ones with lyrics, guitar, piano, etc.) allowed as well? because i’m not to experienced with computer programs and such. i usually go acoustic…

i’m a she btw… :D
