Stanford, Cornell, Rice

Miami University - Oxford, Ohio

Duke, Princeton, Stanford, Holy Cross, West Point, Dartmouth, Bowdoin.

So this topic has been discussed 10 bajillion times....

Searching is lovely.

Middlebury is lovely, too, in a craggy new England way. They have some fabulous, well thought out new buildings. And the snow is right out of a R. Frost poem.

Pepperdine is hands down the most magnificent campus. I've seen quite a few, and until you have seen Pepperdine set the the hills of Malibu overlooking the ocean, you have not seen the most beautiful campus. Stanford is very nice, but come on....

^^ I have to agree. I was visiting my brother in Santa Monica over my birthday two years ago when my dad decided that we should take a trip up the coastline. I was looking out at the beautiful scenery when my dad asked "What's that up there?" I had already been researching colleges and I responded with Pepperdine. For the next few months he was pushing that school on me so much just because he wanted to come and visit me.

COLUMBIA

it's beautiful

you just have to visit

Wow. Someone agreed with me today.

YEA DEMETER

^Gotta agree. Columbia isn't mentioned too often because it's an urban campus and doesn't have that much room to expand, and people seem to prefer lusher landscapes. But. It's self-contained in NYC. And it still manages to be beautiful.

Agree with the Miami of Ohio assessment. Expected Princeton to exceed it from all that I heard, but if you're voting strictly on campus and not at all on the education, I think MU wins. Princeton gets second place.

For the person who asked about Notre Dame, the campus is attractive enough. The thing there is the weather, which is not so attractive. Unless you're from Saskatchawan, maybe...

Dartmouth and BC!

University of Colorado is wicked pretty. http://cires.colorado.edu/jimenez/boulder_overview.jpg

I thought Brown, Stanford, and Tufts were all spectacular. Tuft's beauty was in that it was very simple, but also very green. Unlike a lot of other schools I've visited, it didn't seem as though it was trying to impress, but it was still luminescent.
