i am only a sophomore in highschool & i cant wait to go to college. like, highschool is so lamee. i just want to get out & live on my own. i know it will be hard leaving but i have visited colleges & i think i will like the college life a lot better than highschool.

I totally agree.

my brother seriously missed home when he went to college. He really wanted to leave till then. But then he went to college and realized how good mom's food was (I guess it's better than food in the states) and how much easier it is when you don't have to worry about every single aspect of living like the laundry, food, money, and what not. My parents don't really force us to do anything either.

But really wanna go to college too, just to get away from this IB thing and get a more concentrated education in the subjects that I like. And also to get into an environment where you learn more by yourself. I learn better that way.

I don't think college will be any different from life now. my parents won't allow me to go away for college..so I'll be living with them :( sigh
and besides, I'll still be 16 in my first year of college.

i would be a sophmore in high school, but i'm skipping the rest of high school. and college, here i come!

I'm assuming that's a joke^^

me, joke? doubtful.

i think so because I don't think a high school drop out can go to college. correct me if I'm wrong...

you can certainly skip grades in high school. i know plenty of people who have entered college early. i already skipped a grade, and i was contemplating skipping senior year to go to college a year early. i decided that being a 16-year-old freshman would suck for a variety of reasons, but it's def. possible to do college that early.

wierd. I will be going to college next year and I'll be 16. (I have never skipped a single year of school) wierd.

how did you make it through 12 years of elementary/secondary school if you're only 16 now? were you two years younger than all your classmates since 1st grade?

first of all, I'm still 15 lol
second, i think i was a little younger than the rest of my classmates, I'm the youngest in my class this year too.

I suppose stuck-on is in Egypt, maybe school is of a length less than 12 year there?
I'm 15 and I'm heading to sophomore year :) However, I officially attended school for only eight years because I, as everyone else, skipped fourth grade in Ukraine.

Did you go to first grade at age 4?

school here was 11 years for the past 25 years, just last year they added an extra "year 6" in elementary school. but i didn't take it. and yes, i will be 15 when i go to college,

I'm gonna be 17 when school starts.....junior here.
I, too, can't wait for college. I hate high school, especially hebrew class.

Word. I'll miss friends and family, but I can't wait to leave this place.

thank you iostream

yeah when i was a sophmore i felt like the OP

but now that im a senior im realizing how sad im going to be to leave everything. once i actually get adjusted to college though i think it's going to be soo much fun

Thats pretty cool going to college that early.. i'm not going until im 18 because i when i moved from germany to here, they do things dif... so i was pushed back a year? but then i skipped a grade anyway.. so its normal
