does it really matter where you go for undergrad because im starting to get the feeling that it only matters for graduate school? advice por favor!!!

I can't answer your question, but I have heard both. Graduate is more important, but undergrad is your stepping stone so I wouldnt discount it too much. That said, I would post either in the general Stanford forum or elsewhere because this one does not get as much traffic.

I think everything matters - undergrad is a really important part of your life. It'll shape what you end up finding interesting, what opportunities you get involved in, and what people you connect with. If you have a more specific question, I'd be happy to address it.

If you don't get a good undergraduate education, you probably won't make it to a great graduate school (unless you are unbelievably motivated and brilliant... in which case... you probably would end up at a good undergraduate college)

Ultimately, graduate school is probably more important because after that... you're in the real world!

happy new years (x4)
