Collegeboard or PrincetonReview?

Which site is better for researching college admissions?

I look at both sites for some schools and they show different statistics for each school. Which site do you guys prefer?

i use collegeboard.com for everything

BUT
princetonreview.com was the DECIDING factor when i was trying to decide where i wanted to apply because they have that 'students say' section, which is priceless - next to the next to the next best thing to actually asking someone who goes there

Collegeboard is dry as a bone, at least PR has some life to it.

PR's Counselor-O-Matic is more helpful than anything on CB, but CB overall seems more comprehensive.

Once you get into the upper echelons of schools, though, you have PR listing Harvard and MIT as "matches" and slightly lower schools as "safeties." I mean, hell, that'd be great, but Counselor-O-Matic does tend to be a little overly optimistic.

I used CB for basic stuff like the admissions rate %. I used PR and SR for getting an idea of what life was like there.

PR, definitely. Especially the "students say" section, as someone has mentioned. Though it's not as good for determining what a school is for you (reach, match, etc), it's definitely better than CB for giving you a feel for the school.

I never used PR until I saw this thread. It said I would be a good match at schools I have no way of getting into. It is definitely too optimistic. It also listed some schools as having sports, that the schools website did not have listed.

Collegeboard for statistics and whether it would be match/reach/etc.
but PR for the "students say"---it's very helpful
