Just as an example...
Collegeboard's website says--> Princeton SAT Reasoning / ACT score report due by: 01-FEB.

Does this mean that I must have purchased/submitted the score report before this date, or that Princeton must have received the score report by this date (which would call for me to have sent it much earlier)? I know that score reports can take a week or more to actually get to the school, and this date seems rather late. So basically what I'm asking is, if I submit my score report on January 31st, will Princeton receive my scores in time for consideration?

If you can clarify that would be awesome. Thanks.

Princeton’s website says the last possible testing date for applicants is January. The scores for the January SAT (in 2011) come out February 10 according to the College Board website, so you should be fine sending any scores you have late-January. In general, there is not a set due date for SAT score reports to arrive as there is for the actual applications. Schools are fairly lenient about it. The “February 1” date probably is just a marker to show that January is the latest time of action when it comes to testing. If you want to be safe then you should just call the school up and ask them about it. Most likely you should be fine sending early-February even, given that the January SAT scores come out February 10th.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and if you’re an international student, Princeton recommends that you finish testing in December (SOURCE: http://www.princeton.edu/admission/applyingforadmission/deadlines/).
