<p>I know of a public school that loans out a ThinkPad (basically a laptop) for up to three years to its students. Go Northern Michigan University!</p>

<p>Bentley College (MA) gives laptops. But with laptops coming way down in price, I wouldn’t pick a school based on that criteria. And unless the “free” laptop was funded by an alumni or a corporate sponsor I think that one way or another it would be factored into the price of the school.</p>
