Colleges and pharmacy?

So I know that going into pharmacy you need two years to do your prerequisites and that there are some schools that are specifically for undergraduate pharmacy (pre-pharm).

However, I'd like to know whether or not I'm allowed to go to a school that has a graduate pharmacy program and just do my prerequisites for the first two years.

For example, UC Irvine has a graduate pharmD program: could I go to Irvine, do my prerequisites there for two years, and then sign up for pharmD right after?

It would be a great alternative to transferring there after finishing undergrad.

Many schools have a PharmD program. You apply right from high school and get accepted. It’s a 6 year program. You don’t need to transfer, you’d stay right in the program.

I know Northeastern as an excellent PharmD program as well: [url=<a href=“http://www.northeastern.edu/bouve/pharmacy/programs/pharmd.html]Doctor”>Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) | Northeastern University]Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) | Bouv

great option
[Dual Admission Program | Pharmacy | NSU Undergraduate Admissions](Pharmacy | Dual Admission | Nova Southeastern University)

As mentioned some schools have a direct admission…others do not. If you are going to a typical 2 + 4 school you will have to apply and take the PCAT to gain admission. In some cases, (I think USC is one) you can have the PCAT waived and get some preferred status for admission to the PharmD program, but almost all of the schools operate differently. You will just have to look at the schools you are interested in.

Ok thanks for the advice
