Colleges Offering Money to National Merit Finalists?

<p>I just got a letter from Texas A&M today saying that my standing as a Semifinalist would guarantee me a $2,000 package, and an advance to Finalist would get me $34,000! I know some schools have started doing this, offering practically free rides in order to get more Merit Scholars. Does anyone know about other schools doing this?</p>
