Does anyone know of any master list of all the schools that will either let you go to school without paying tuiton or heavily reduce prices if your family's income is below a certain point? I was just reading a post that said Harvard lets you in for free if you make less than like $90,000 a year or something, does anyone know what other schools offer similiar programs? I'm not necessarily talking Tier 1 schools either, but anywhere from Tier 3 to Tier 1.

These schools are usually all top 20 so I doubt that you that you can find tier 3 school with such offer.

Aren't there some state schools that give guaranteed massive scholarships if your class rank or GPA is above a certain threshold?

Stanford =
Less than $100,000/yr, they cover tuition.
Less than $60,000/yr, they cover tuition + housing.
Less than $45,000/yr, they cover everything.

is it different for state schools?

Check your local flagship. I think Maryland, Virginia, UNC & NC State and Washington have programs that go far beyond traditional need-based aid.

whats "local flagship"?

Local flagship is your primary state U; in your case, UVA.

I believe Harvard, Stanford, and maybe Princeton all have similar programs. For me personally, my parents make around $90,000 before taxes and Harvard is paying for my tuition and a portion of my housing.

Do schools such as harvard and stanford offer the same FA(less than $x) to transfers?

Yes I'm sure they do, though Harvard isn't taking transfers for two more years and Stanford takes almost none.
