Colleges that need MORE recognition

Georgia Tech and University of Florida

Does anyone know about Marymount manhattan college?

Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia.Tenth oldest school in America.All men.Strictly liberal arts.Very strong honor code.Very conservative,preppy,old school,traditional.Beautiful,safe campus.Sports are huge.
Hampden-Sydney College, Virginia

Drew University is a small liberal arts university just outside NYC; also better than its press coverage.

Marquette, Illinois Wesleyan, Creighton, Saint Louis University, Lawrence University, Miami of Ohio, St. Olaf, University of Kansas.

Also Santa Clara, Whitman, Centre, Rhodes.

Colorado College needs a lot more respect. University of Denver, if located in the east, would be one of the most popular schools in the country.

Penn!

"UPenn or Penn State?" you ask.

My point exactly. (for UPenn)

At the university's own big party to kickoff its capital campaign, the DJ said "make some noise, University of Penn State!" Why oh why didn't they rename the school like Princeton (previously The College of New Jersey) did???

Brandeis........

Two schools with Episcopalian roots: Kenyon and Sewanee University of the South. Two conservative schools: Grove City and Hillsdale.

University of Denver, if located in the east, would be one of the most popular schools in the country.

Absolutely...it would be the only college in the East that's in the shadows of the Rocky Mountains.

And if the University of Detroit took over the coastal campus of the U. of San Diego, it would be the nicest ghetto school in the country. On the other hand, if Columbia U. were in Nome, Alaska, it probably wouldn't be quite as tough to get into.

The College of Charleston.

Beautiful campus, great academics that will challenge top students (this coming from somebody who has attended both the CofC and one of the most academically demanding schools in the nation), good social life, probably a low match/safety for most of the applicants on these forums.

TourGuide...I realize that location is a big factor, but I am just looking at the school ignoring its surroundings

Definitely Trinity College.

All public flagship universities in the South.

Furman and Rollins in the south.
