This comes in the wake of the news of 3 UChicago undergraduates winning the Goldwater Scholarship (the "most prestigious, premier undergraduate award for students in the sciences"), bringing up their Goldwater tally to 24 since 2005, tied with MIT and second only to Havard's winnings over the same time period. UChicago students have traditionally done extremely well in Rhodes scholarships as well, and in spite of not producing any winners in the last two years afaik, UChicago's Rhodes tally over the past 10 years is bested only by Harvard's, Yale's and Stanford's.
