Colleges with a large emphasis on SATs

First list some colleges off, and then colleges in the same margin, except ones with less emphasis on class rank.

I always heard Dartmouth looked at SATs a lot. I think the average SAT score for the accepted class this year was 1490.

mit and caltech, for sure

big state schools that dont have the time to view 20,000 applicants holistically

UC's,caltech

hm, but several people in the MIT admissions office have come out and said that any math score above 700 is competitive, and any scores above 750 are treated the same. So even if they do pay a lot of attention to scores, it's not like they aren't being fair/lenient.
MIT also has lower middle-50% score ranges for verbal than other elite colleges (e.g., Harvard, Yale, Caltech, etc.)
I agree that the UCs and Caltech place a lot of emphasis on test scores. But MIT? Naw.

notre dame and bc seem to be very SAT-centric judging by hs gc and scattergrams.

MIT looks intensely score-happy but I think that's a testament to the applicant pool as much as the admissions office... they have no choice but to admit quality high scoring applicants, because they get so many! :P
