Colleges with ED II

<p>My experience with ED II has been similar to Duygu's, you generally know your EA/EDI results before ED II is due. </p>

<p>For those who are confused about what ED II is, it is basically exactly the same as ED I --certainly just as binding. But it is a little later. App deadlines are generally around the same time as RD deadlines, and you generally hear back around February.
There are a variety of reasons why people would choose ED II. Some apply ED or EA elsewhere, to their first choice, and are rejected. If they have a clear second choice, they could then choose to do ED II there. Others simply need the additional time to decide if they're ready to make a commitment, get their stuff together, or take tests.</p>

<p>Rice has normal Early Decision, but the Interim Decision process is non-binding.</p>

<p>ED II for CMU is due December 1st or something, so I assumed it was that way for all other universities. I guess not! xD</p>
