can i apply ED round 2 if i've already applied ED to brown?

I think you need to receive a decision from ED I before you can applying ED II?
so it depends on when the ED II due date is (for example, carnegie mellon's is dec. 1 so that might be cutting it close)

pomona, vassar.

middlebury

Franklin and Marshall...and did someone post Colgate??

george washington university

I think Rice does.

bowdoin also

Hey guys :) , I have a weird question that's been nagging at me for a while.

If Student A applied to a school ED 2, as opposed to Student B who applied to that same school ED 1, will the school perceive Student A as having less of an interest in their school than Student B?

Just a bit worried about that.

wut exactlyy is ed 2? i never got that..

From what I understand, it's basically a round 2 Early Decision. It's still Early Decision, but the deadline is later than the usual November deadlines.

Typically ED 1 application deadlines are in November, and schools promise to decide by mid December. Some schools now offer an ED 2 option with typically an early January application deadline, so if you don't get into your # 1 choice ED, you can apply to your second-choice school ED 2. The timing is such that there should be no conflict between an ED 1 application at one school, and an ED 2 application at another.

Some other schools that offer ED 2 are Bryn Mawr, Smith, Middlebury, Bowdoin, and Wesleyan.

I'm also worried about this. Can anybody clarify for me?

I would love to hear the answer to that from someone who works in college admissions. Also, are there any statistics on the percentages of applicants who get in ED 1 vs. ED 2 vs. regular decision?
