Hello, I'm an incoming freshmen who can't decide which classes to take. I really want to do color guard though, but in my high school color guard only counts as a P.E. credit, which means I have to take another class to fill the A-G requirements for the performing arts section. I can't believe that color guard doesn't count as a performing arts credit at UC schools.. Anyways, the problem is, I'm worried about the 'consistency' colleges look for. Does that mean I should stick with color guard for my whole high school year? Also, I'm not sure what I should do in the performing arts credit… In the foreign language section, I want to do Chinese, but then again, I'm not sure if colleges want us to stick with learning the same language for four years, or not..

Just what are the benefits of doing color guard, and what are colleges looking for as 'consistency'?
Also, for the performing arts credit, should i just do something like theater, or just regular fine arts such as painting which I can do it during summer school at my high school?

Does it look bad if you just cover your credit in summer school?
