Colorado Springs Air Force Academy

Anyone wanna talk?

All new cadets left for Basic Training yesterday - today was Inprocessing. My friend is a new cadet, so I know they don't have e-mail or computers until August. This thread will be pretty dead this July.

Anyone wanna talk about USAFA?

stop...........

lol......this is why you should go to USNA...

did he PM anybody else, asking to talk?

report as an offensive post saying that he is harassing you

jq722 shut up! I'm just trying to get info! It's my dream to be an AF Fighter Pilot!

AdmiralThomas I thought about the Navy but the Air Force has more to do with flying! My dad was in the Navy during Vietnam!

Quit spamming this board....people won't take you seriously unless you bother to do some research yourself. Theres a lot of info out there if you take the time to look. If this is supposably your "dream"...it's odd that you want others to handle everything for you.

falconhopeful06 I am doing my research K! My dad locked my computer up so I can't go to certain places and military is one of them! I rarely ever find a website that I can get info without be locked up!!! If my computer wasn't locked up I wouldn't be talking on College Confidential! So everybody just give me a break from this bull!

And I don't want others to do my research! This my dream not somebody elses!

So all I am saying is I can't get info until my dad unlocks my computer! He uses Trend Micro PC-cillen Internet security!

maybe you should talk to your dad about this problem, and not us. if you want to add onto your last post, dont make a second post, just hit edit and add in what you were missing.

will you simmer down you six year old and stop spamming

OK, futureAFA--the moderator's back from climbing some big mountains in Colorado... Please stop with the "who wants to talk" stuff and ask specific questions or you'll be edited/deleted. We welcome the exchagne but you have to do your work, too. Now read. If you can access this board, you can read the whole thing. Lots of info here. Start now.

CAP--don't list your name here.

Just with the book theme...heres a book that for me at least answered a lot of my questions/gave me great information. Best one i've read so far.

futureAFA lost his password and made a new one called AirForcedream, just so you guys know :D

Docfrance,

No problem. Thanks for the tip

I got my password back. I used my brothers computer. Plus my dad is going to unlock my computer

futureAFA:
If you really were serious about getting information regarding the academies, and your computer is locked, here are my suggestions:

Go to the local library and use their computers for research, including reading the official catalog from each academy's website. That is where you will find the truth regarding requirements, each class "profile" so you can see how you stack up in comparison, and what your goals should be, physical disqualifications, etc.

There are several commercial books (see above post) that give suggestions to improve your chances.

We are not here to do the research for you.

Finally, this forum is not a "chat room" per se. It is a forum for people to ask specific questions and share their personal experiences with respect to the application process in an attempt to help others reach their dream.
