Colorado State University versus University of Colorado, Colorado Springs - Dietetics

Hello!

I got accepted to both Colorado State University (Fort Collins) and University of Colorado (Colorado Springs). I am transferring from the University at Buffalo because they do not have my major(dietetics). I am trying to chose between the two schools based on 3 categories: 1) Academics, 2) Facilities, and 3) Surrounding areas. I have never been to Colorado and would appreciate any help. Particularly regarding which school is better academically (I want to become a registered dietitian).

I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, yoga and am looking to meet down to earth, chill people who enjoy similar activities. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you for your time and have a wonderful day!

We were just there in March looking at both schools for engineering for my son. Both are very nice schools and totally different. CU is more expensive ( about $7000) but a beautiful campus. Boulder is “quite different” and more expensive to live. CSU is spread out more but still a very nice campus and Ft. Collins is more “laid back” than Boulder ( my opinion). We prefered CSU over CU even though CU’s engineering rating was higher and Ft. Collins over Boulder. Even though Boulder would be fun to visit to watch the differnent types of people. Both are close to Rocky Mt. National Park so either way you’ll get your hiking and rock climbing in.

Our favorite was Co. School of Mines in Golden…just awesome! Than CSU. Hope that helps.
