My school is one of the most competitive schools in So cal.

Please chance me for Columbia University. (RD)
Thank you.

I would say you have a shot. However, you have to realize how hard it is to put a number on your admission chances, especially for these competitive institutions, as their admissions can be very subjective at times. Your academics look fine (although you can still improve on your CR, if you choose), and you do have a enough extracurriculars. Now work hard on your essays, do your last bit to impress your teachers, and stay on top of your academics, and you definitely have a decent shot

Has anyone heard from Columbia regular decision. A girl at our school says that she received a letter stating she was accepted but this was not an official acceptance letter. Has anyone else received this letter?

^ Yes, this is called a likely letter.
If you scroll down the Columbia forum page, you’ll see a thread on the subject.

Thanks. I’ll check the Forum page.

75% normally. 25% because you’re Asian.
