according to the Columbia website : "While Columbia does not necessarily encourage the filing of both Early Decision (binding) and Early Action (non-binding) applications, we do not prohibit candidates from doing so. "
They do not prohibit applying EA to a school like MIT, but would it negatively impact my admissions chance by doing so?
I know that schools that prohibit students from applying to other EA will check to make sure they didnt, so will Columbia know you applied to MIT EA?
You can only apply to one school with a binding application. Applying elsewhere non-binding will not have any effect on your admissions. The counselors will have no way of knowing where else you applied.
they wont know, even if they do i doubt they’d care because if they accept you, you are binded anyways
