I am a student who would love to go to the Columbia Engineering school, but it's a reach school for me. What do you guys know about acceptance rates for Columbia Engineering and Columbia college? How do their acceptance rates and demands compare with each other? Thanks!

If you want to be an engineer (or an ivy student, for that matter), you must first discover the wonders of google. I mean really, it’s easier to just spend 5 seconds to pull this up rather than wait for an answer on a message board:

[Applications & Admission Process | Columbia University Office of Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/admissions/faq/admissions.php)

“Last year, 8.9% of first-year applicants to Columbia College were admitted, and approximately 14.4% of first-year applicants to The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science were admitted.”

If Columbia engineering is a reach for you, I highly doubt CC is going to be any easier.

I guess what I was looking for were students that have applied to and possibly have been accepted to Columbia University and know what an applicant’s expectations should be. What should one’s application look like and maybe even give examples of what an accepted student had on his or her application. I wasn’t looking for an ******* to post an obnoxious response that wastes both the asker’s and his or her time that provides little to no helpful information.
