Columbia GS econ vs NYU CAS econ

Hello.

I have been admitted to both schools and it is not easy to make up my mind.

I intend to pursue ph.d in economics right after graduation and I believe that I should take as many econ-math courses as possible with good grades.

At NYU, most of courses are 4 credits, while Columbia usually offers 3 credit courses.
This means that I can take much more courses at Columbia before I graduate.

Despite this advantage, I am concerned about so many gossips about Columbia GS.

I'd really happy if someone who went to graduate schools for econ ph.d could help me.

Any advice or comment will be welcomed!

You take the same courses as a Columbia College undergrad as a GS student.

Go to Columbia. I have no hesitation writing that.

Agreed, no question if a PhD is your goal that GS econ is the place to go.
