Columbia GS Spring 2022 Early Action/Regular Decision Thread

Nothing yet

Nothing on my end either. If we don’t hear back in the next few minutes I think it’s safe to say today isn’t the day haha.

Do you happen to know if its usually exactly at 5:20?

I saw on some threads 5:20 pm and on others 5 pm, with a few outliers. I think their business hours close around 5-6? Not sure.

I’ll give it until 6 then and if still not then, I guess the waiting game continues

Haha this has never been more relatable. I have no idea why they didn’t send it out today? It’s usually always Wednesdays. Weird

Yeah that is really strange

From what I saw for Early Action Priority, it has always been Friday October 1st

oh seriously? I thought someone mentioned it was the Wednesday before October 1st. Like last year, Oct 1st was a Thursday

At 5 PM?

It’s probably just whatever day Oct. 1st falls on that year

It’s alright, just two more days lol!

Knowing myself, that’s going to be super hard. BUT I did take your advice and got good food just now. If anything, I guess it’s a good thing decisions come Friday. That way I can have the day, or even weekend, to process the decision… I’ll be emotional either scenario haha

Just checked my portal, nothing here. I’m going to focus on Friday and then call if I don’t see anything then.

FYI: I have a contact at an admissions office at CU (grad program) she said they are backed up on essays and it’s been hard getting them read. That maybe why the decisions didn’t come out today? She also mentioned a lot of folks deferred from previous semester because of covid so the application pool maybe slightly smaller this year but the number of past accepted applicants that have deferred is higher. She also mentioned acceptance rates at GS are high (compared to the college or grad program) and if we are denided we can apply again in the same year unlike CC, which is 3 years. Guess that’s a silver lining.

I think we will get accepted so that’s just aux info, most of which we prob already knew . And I’m eating awesome food so that also helps pass the time. There are Michelin rated tacos in Long Island City @ Casa Enrique. Go if you can. Going to dunkin after this haha:drooling_face::drooling_face::drooling_face:

Wow thanks for that info! That sounds about right.
I’m also just going to focus on Friday.

I heard they are still asking people questions today and told them to reply ASAP. I still hope for Friday, but they might be backed up this cycle.
