Columbia ID not received?

Hi everyone,
I'm an RD applicant to Columbia, and I am wondering about the Columbia ID. I submitted my Part 1 on 11/27/2009, and I would like to make sure if I have read the instructions right.

"After submitting an application, you will receive an
e-mail from Columbia officially acknowledging receipt
of your application and providing a unique applicant
ID number. (Columbia ID numbers begin with C00…)
Please allow up to 30 days after electronically
submitting or mailing your application for receipt of
this acknowledgement. Please keep this e-mail and
ID number for your records as it will be used
throughout the admissions process. With the
Columbia applicant ID, the applicant is required to
track the status of the submitted application and the
receipt of all required documents by using our online
tracking system".

When they say application, do they mean part 1 AND part 2, or just part 1? Do I get my ID around 30 days after the entire application is submitted?

I am submitting an art supplement to Columbia, and they want me to include my Columbia ID, except I do not have one yet. What shall I do?

I would appreciate any advice on this, thank you!

You can put your social security number in place of Columbia ID number.
I did it.

They’ll send you an email in 5 days or so repeating your pin and giving you a Columbia ID number of the form C001234567.

wait what?! ^ I sent my part one in like in September and I never got one. I haven’t finished part II yet so I assumed I’d get it after I finished both parts…now I’m a little worried =</p>

I got my Columbia ID email exactly two weeks after I submitted Part I, and one week after I submitted Part II. Emails says “Thank you for submitting Part I”, so I assume it get sent after Part I.

Oh wow I just got my ID yesterday, and it was in an E-mail.

Basically, you don’t have to finish your part II, because I haven’t and I got it anyway.
It took approximately a month, but a little less…

If you guys haven’t gotten it yet, try e-mailing the undergrad admin office for it, explain the situation?

I ended up using my SSN cause i had to put it on my art supplement and hand it in to my counselor xD

i hope you guys who don’t have it yet will get it soon.
