<p>I am really really ****ed that Michigan joined the common application program since, my already slim to none chance of being accepted there just got shoved into the gutter. Now I will be competing with people who do not even want to go to Michigan and only use it as a safety school and basically just take up spots… Previously people may not have used Michigan as a safety for the prime reason that its application was brutal but now… ■■■</p>
<p>This so so not fair… the only reason I did not apply to Columbia was because they weren’t on Common App, and I didn’t want to go through a whole different set of forms… and as soon as I’m through with MY applications, they join?
Well, at least it’ll be easy going for my brother later on if he decides to apply…</p>
<p>hahahaha i guess my suggestion for UMich works…told them in the questionaire after I applied that they should switch to UMich…cause it’s simpler, and it’ll help them lower their acceptance rate cause a whole lot more people are gonna apply :P</p>

<p>nintendo: cr_freak took the words out of my mouth. you even implied it yourself: you don’t actually want to go to Columbia. that’s terrible. it’s people like you with competitive stats and no desire to attend Columbia who are competing against people with competitive stats and LOVE Columbia. and because of that, they might not get into their dream school while people like you get in.</p>

<p>'bout time. I had some trouble with michigan’s application because one of my essays used a bunch of spanish diacritical marks which were really hard to upload onto the server correctly</p>
