Columbia / NYU

Hi All,
I am graduating from university where I majored in French and Political Science.

I am trying to get into a master's program in French Studies at Columbia or NYU....I am really nervous about the future as I don't know if my portfolio is good enough for me to get in.

Can anyone please give me some feedback on my chances.

I have a 3.68 GPA in my undegrad, for GRE i scored 700 in Verbal, 650 in Analytical and 5/6 in Writing.

I have really good recommendations and all the other constituents of my portfolio including essays are really good as well.

I was in France for a year teaching English to high school students.

I have professional experience working in a translation bureau translating technical doc. from French to English.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Your best bet is to check the websites of the French studies programs at both schools and see if they post the stats of their current class. Unless French Studies are more popular than I imagine, you should have an excellent chance at admission.
