I think I'd die tomorrow if I came back from school and found a thin envelope from Columbia in my mailbox. Or if that DHL guy never came...

I live in Nassau County, which is close enough to Queens. Does anyone know if Nassau people get their letters first or their emails first? I'm dying to know.

so yea in my panic of waiting...i looked over my application again and NOOO!!! found some typos that i hadn't seen before. Is this unacceptable for an Ivy League? how much will this hurt me?!!!? aaaahahahaha they were obviously typos but still apparent! i can't believe this! rejection for sure!

Hence why looking at our applications again probably isn't the best idea. But I've done it too T-T. ...It wasn't very fun.

osheezie, i don't think a few typos are going to hurt your chances of admission to Columbia. Because I like to believe that somewhere DEEEP down, these admissions officers have a heart and they'll understand. They have to. They were in our shoes once.

Unless you were like that kid who applied to UPenn who consistently spelled "tutor" as "torture." Or wrote orgasm instead of organism.

Columbia owns me too. I know if it doesnt go well there are other colleges I would be happy with, but to go to Columbia would be so amazing it feels like other colleges cant compare.....

i don't know about everyone else...but i've become something of a zombie right now. just waiting...waiting...and waiting some more while checking this forum.

Yeah. I'm applying to a bunch of other schools I really like, but I can't see myself as enthused or excited about any of them as I am about Columbia.

And I've become somewhat of a waiting-zombie too. And I won't even be home at 5 tomorrow (unless the weather's really bad), because my violin lesson doesn't end until 5:30 and I probably won't get home until 5:45 or something like that.

good luck, everyone! =) it would be so awesome if someday all of us happen to end up at the same school. even more awesome if that school ends up being columbia

Wow, there are 16 pages now, recording all our joys, stresses, emotions, expectations, ..., and most importantly, our love of Columbia U!

Interesting to note, CC has a website to calculate AI (Academic Index). I just got my AI to be 8. What a nice number! I just feel like I am going to get an A...
