Congratulations to all who were accepted! To those who were not accepted, don’t take it personally! The program is becoming more popular and increasingly more difficult to get into, and keep in mind that it is an extremely holistic approach, so what qualities may not have fit this program will definitely fit another university’s criteria! Best of luck to you all!
It was great to answer your questions during the admissions process, and along with the rest of the Columbia - Sciences Po Dual BAs, we want to warmly welcome all of those who have been accepted (and hopefully choose to enroll!)! If you have any further questions, join the facebook group (it should be easy to find, “Columbia - Sciences Po Dual BA Class of 2019 Admitted Students” and ask your questions away!
@SickofApps William, don’t you even kill my vibe right now I so got here before you did why are you trying to steal my glory.
(But actually guys we’re tons of fun I promise and we’re super psyched about you all)
@lolly123 Right? I’m in the same suspenseful limbo. Though I’m very happy with the school I’ve committed to, I would still consider the Dual BA Program :-S
@hlee77 Couldn’t afford it… I know I shouldn’t have applied in the first place but frankly, I didn’t think that I was going to get in
And if I did, I thought it would have been such a great opportunity that a. I would have done anything to get the loans/scholarships that I needed and b. my parents would have supported me
Well, no, that’s not what happened
Hi, how do think grades/exam scores are more important to get selected or personality/extra actvities? Also, how difficult is it to gain full scholarship from both of the universities? I’m thinking about applying for the Menton too, I’d love to learn Arabic. One more question, if one has passed only SAT general exam and not Math AP or Math SAT subject test, will it be a problem in terms of choosing Economics or Math subjects at Menton? Thx a lot and looking forward to your answer
I am a current student and tour guide/ambassador for the Dual BA Program. I cannot say that one application element matters more than another, as the process is truly holistic. Admissions officers are looking for fit with the program and whether the applicant will be able to take on the responsibilities of being a dual degree student: living in two different countries, and studying in two different academic systems. Applicants are academically strong, and also display leadership and experience in their extra-curricular interests.
In terms of the standardized tests, the subject exams you mention will not impact your economics and math options once on campus. Please let me know if you have any more questions.
Hi Laetitia, I am considering applying for the upcoming year. I am a senior in high school, and participating in a dual enrollment program where I receive college credits while also completing high school. I was wondering if this would hurt my chances of making it in to the program. I was also wondering if the information sessions are mandatory, as I live very far and I’m not sure I would be able to make it to one.
