Columbia Supplement: Does Youtube Count as an Electronic Publication?

Hi, I'm a current applicant to Columbia University, and I've been really conflicted over what to put for the "print or electronic publications that I read regularly."

See, the thing is that I watch A LOT of educational youtube videos online, and they've really enriched my education on topics that aren't covered in school. But because I don't "read" them, I'm not sure if they count.

Any alumni or current students who listed youtube channels/videos in their supplement? Or know of anyone who did? Please let me know, it would be much appreciated :)

I’m applying as well and I might do this!

I was thinking of mentioning Youtube aswell. I sticked to the regular forms of publications though.

Glad to see that other applicants have been thinking about this as well. Any current students or alumni able to give us a definitive answer?

I’m also curious as to whether blogs count as online publications as well.

I put the youtube channels I consistently watch under the section like “films, concerts, shows… and other entertainments” one. Youtube is an other entertainment I think
