So I’m currently a stem major sophomore at my community college, and preparing transfer to university.
My question is, is it better to transfer to the university that has affiliated with Columbia University and enroll into the 3/2 combine program?
(Which means finish junior year at the affiliated school and transfer to Columbia in the upcoming year)
Or just apply transfer to Columbia?
And is there something missing when I consider the combine program?
I would really appreciate if you could help me with this, and also pardon my grammar.
Have you checked to see if you could even enter the 3-2 plan as a CC transfer?
Columbia may require 3-2 plan transfers to have started at the LAC.
So just apply straight to Columbia (and hopefully elsewhere, as, unless you are trying to get in to Columbia GS, and qualify for that, it would be very difficult to get in).
Thanks for your reply,
And it really helps, I have to contact the school to see if this plan is viable, otherwise I’ll just apply to Columbia.
And I saw you mentioned apply to
Columbia General studies and qualifying, can you be more specific about that?
Still, appreciate your help!
Columbia GS only admits students who had at least a 1 year break in formal schooling (after HS, I believe).
