I'm getting vicarious excitement from reading all the acceptances! there seems to be quiet a lot!</p>
<p>to defers/rejects, I have to say that many of you had very impressive stats, and I'm surprised that anybody with those stats would be outright rejected... but maybe you guys used up all your bad luck in the college game ;) so best of luck in RD!</p>
<p>I'm far too emotional for my own good right now, but I just want everyone in this forum to know that I sincerely wish you all the best of luck, whether you're accepted or not.</p>

And for the rejected kids, well, like everyone says, there are SO many other schools and everyone will get in somewhere great, I have confidence about that on CC.

<p>rejection (in all forms) is a difficult, but inevitable, part of our existence. remeber that a college does not shape who you are; you shape yourself, your life, your experiences. you're obviously talented to have even considered columbia, so don't lose the spark inside of you, that desire to be the best you can be. </p>

<p>From the Duke ED board, I'd like to say congratulations to those who got into Columbia and wish those who got deferred/rejected (plus my friend who got deferred ED) the best of luck, from all the stats I've seen on here, every person definitely has the potential to become very successful... college admissions is so random these days, especially at schools like Columbia.</p>
<p>yeah I'm from the Duke board. In a week I'll be awaiting my results... but I really do think that resilience is what makes people successful. The key to success in life is resiliency, reaching for your dreams, getting back on your feet when you've stumbled, believing in yourself even when the rest of the world doesn't. Just remember in life you'll have many challenges and stumbling blocks... jobs/job drama, *****y bosses, divorce maybe, family problems, financial issues, health problems. getting through the college process is just a tiny part of life. there's so much more to it than college A or college B!</p>
