Columbia University Official Class of 2011 Early Decision Results

Rejected.

In hindsight though, as much as I loved the campus and everything...Columbia might be a better fit for Grad school than Undergrad, so I'm kind of glad I wasn't even deferred.

wwkkim, i'm not saying your stats are poor or anything. in fact, many people would still love to have scores like yours. columbia, however, receives applicants with scores a lot higher than yours, so i was just wondering what was so special about your application that made them approve it. (this may be coming out not so nice..sorry, not my intention here :]]) for future applicants, i think it would be helpful if you posted more info. thanks

hmm lots of koreans getting accepted...

GOOD JOB EVERYONE!

not to worry -- the acceptance e-mail does NOT mention SEAS

deferred - seas

gulag, I really don't know much about the regional studies programs, but if you haven't yet found your way to the online bulletin, here's the address:

<a href="http://www.college.columbia.edu/bulletin/%5B/url%5D">http://www.college.columbia.edu/bulletin/</a></p>

It'll tell you the requirements for each major/program and the kinds of classes that are offered this year, and they'll have the links to the web sites of the different departments.

can someone post the content of the acceptance email?

jesus christ- i barely come to the columbia forum now that i'm in college (visit CollegeCon only for internships section), but stopped by today since it was ED time

P.S. Please note that an official admissions packet was mailed today.

sweet! :) . .

Congratulations on all who were admitted! Sadly, I won't be seeing any of you on Morningside Heights, as I'll be off to one Cambridge or another...

For those who got in- Spectator has a poll for you:

<a href="http://www.columbiaspectator.com/%5B/url%5D">http://www.columbiaspectator.com/</a></p>

Congrats everyone who got in! I am soooo happy.... Have a great break and spring semester and I hope to meet you all in Columbia next year.

Did people get their packages?

I was just thinking about that. No, I haven't gotten mine. I live in MA, if that makes any difference.

Just got mine (i live literally 10 minutes from Columbia tho...)

In it includes:

The same letter
A Columbia College publication (alum stuff i think)
A financial aid letter (telling me they dont have info lol) -_-;
OH AND...

A FREE BUMPER STICKER THINGYMABOB. It cost exactly $2.48. Better than nothing i guess...-_-;

don't bother buying t-shirts from the CU bookstore, they're too expensive. Go to Steve and Barry's in the Manhattan Mall (34th and 7th?) where you can buy them for 8 bucks each.

Wow, I had no idea anyone sold Columbia merchandise in New York outside of M Heights...good to hear (we do need to keep up with all those Harvard/MIT shirt carts all over Boston somehow).

For the record, the Manhattan Mall is in Herald Square (where 34th, Broadway, and Sixth Ave. meet).
