***COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY R.D. APPLICANTS***

@123whatever - congrats - a John Jay scholar is a big deal - they REALLY like you. It used to mean you would get more aid, and no loans, but now nobody has loans. So now it means you don’t have to have work-study if you attend cool special events, lectures, etc.

To the accepted: Has your alumni interviewer emailed you yet?

@Marisa58 James Gordon voice You are the hero Columbia deserves, but not the one it needs right now. There’s no way you didn’t get into any other schools, I’m sure. So good luck wherever you ultimately decide to go

Does anyone have any waitlist statistics from last year? Much appreciated.

accepted to Brown, Harvard, Columbia, Yale and Dartmouth !! I should have just applied to the rest because yesterday was the luckiest day of my life

Again to the accepted: Did you get any congratulatory e-mail yet?

@GodHelpUs I felt the same lol. I went 2/2 on Ivies in what had to be the greatest stroke of luck (or worst admissions mistake) ever. Feel like I should’ve applied to at least a couple others. Oh well.

@pewr124 haha well I’ll just go ahead and say we both got into awesome schools. Any idea on how your going to choose between them?

@dreamchaser123‌ sorry, I never knew you mentioned me. And I appreciate your kind words :slight_smile: I’ve gotten into Johns Hopkins, Rice, Vandy, USC, UVa, and some safeties. So I can’t really be upset at all lol. Frankly I’ve been blessed and am ready to start my future wherever I decide

@GodHelpUs flip a coin? Realistically I doubt I could turn Harvard down, but I’m going to visit both and make a decision after the visit. Maybe I’ll end up at Columbia after all.

@pewr124 Harvard all the way!!!

Hey guys, I’m wait listed and am writing my update letter. Quick question to admitted students — did you get an admit package? If so, what was in it? Sorry I’m trying to weave a metaphor into my letter… Thanks so much! <3

@petitetee I received a blue folder with my offer letter, Decision Response Instructions, a guide on financing options entitled “Columbia Financial Aid and Educational Financing”, an invitation to Columbia College Perspectives on Diversity, and a folded poster. The poster features a photo of students standing in front of the library and around the Alma Mater, a picture of students playing with snow, an aerial shot of the campus, a shot of the NYC skyline, and a huge photo of Columbia’s entrance (near the steps and outside the library).

Not sure what metaphor you’re going for but best of luck with the wait list and your letter!
