And so it begins!

Hi, I'm I Love the City, and I was deferred by Columbia University ED. Now, I am a regular decision consideration. Hopefully, I'll get to see you all on campus.
Good luck!

Stanford rejected me today…/crying…I need to work harder for my second choice T_T

@chandelure I’m sorry. My friend was deferred. It sucks to not get in.

@chandelure Me too bro… let’s both knock this one out of the park!

I’m already nervous for March. I feel like my supplements are insufficient

Penn deferral here…not too optimistic about my chances of getting into either school

Seems that I’m not alone, but it’s really tough for me recently. Failed for Corn ED and preparing for Columbia lol

hey, just wondering did anyone take a creative approach to the why columbia essay? i did (not a laundry list / exposition reasons) because it’s totally me to do that, but i don’t know if it’s appropriate? haha

I mostly gave a generic answer and talked about its pre med tract, classes, etc. the “why” essay would match my “what are your interests and how does columbia relate” so i just went bland.

Last day to get those applications into Columbia!
@weepingmermaid I had a super unique/interesting intro and conclusion. the content of my essay was relatively normal (but obviously my reasons for wanting to attend Columbia were unique to me). I think as long as you honestly answer the prompt, it doesn’t matter how you write it.
@weepingmermaid I talked about the diversity that Columbia has by discussing NYC and Walt Whitman. It was mainly philosophical. Also has anyone been contacted for their Columbia Interview?
@KenziEccleston Mine is this monday afternoon
@indorilnerevar mine too. How are you preparing?
@KenziEccleston going over my extra curriculars
@indorilnerevar Okay, I am really just trying to get all the information in my head as I can. Is yours a student interview as well?
@KenziEccleston you mean alumni? I think that’s the only type of interview they do
@indorilnerevar no mine was a sophomore from Columbia. How did yours go tho?
@KenziEccleston great. Too bad it doesn’t count for much
Mine is a sophomore at columbia too…He just contacted me though.
