I am a senior currently pursuing Electrical Engineering from NYU and am looking forward to grad school in ECE.
I have currently been accepted at Carnegie Mellon and Columbia University .
According to my knowledge Carnegie has higher ranking and a bigger brand name in ECE. Columbia on the other side is an IVY and is in NYC. Plus columbia's is also ranked amongst top 15 engineering schools.
Moreover, Carnegie gives you wider option of courses ranging from Electrical to Computer Programming stuff and Columbia's program focuses on pure Electrical stuff.

Now I am really confused regarding these two options. Which school has better job prospects and everything. Please help

Once you hit the top 20 rankings, educational differences are so slim that it shouldn’t be the deciding factor. Choose the campus you like the most and the place you think you’ll be happiest. However, Columbia definitely has more of the name brand behind it. And you are in the center of the commercial capital of the world where internships are a dime a dozen for Ivy League students.
I’m still a Junior in high school but I was talking to a recent grad of Columbia that went to my school and he said that internships are as easy to come by as air and the resources the school offers for its graduate programs are amazing.
However, I don’t know much about Carnegie to give you an educated answer. But since your alma mater doesn’t matter too much after the first 2 jobs or so, I would go with Columbia as it has a much much much much much much stronger alumni network and name brand.
