I got admitted to both of those schools

and I cannot quite decide which school to go

My future major is physics and economics (or perhaps mathmatics)

Which do you think would be a better choice?

Congratulations!
UChicago is exceptional in all of the majors you mention, and it is especially well known for economics, but Columbia is arguably of equal quality. Chicago and NYC are both great cities with oodles of internship opportunities.
Have you visited both schools? If you consider yourself very intellectual you probably want to pick UChicago. Also, you should figure out whether you prefer the set courses that you have to take at Columbia or the comparatively flexible core at UChicago. If you are still unsure, definitely visit, even if you already have, because they have very different “vibes” and one is sure to be a better fit. If you want to go to graduate school, UChicago has an edge, and if you want to be employed right after college, Columbia has an edge.
Personally, I would pick UChicago for those majors, but if the intellectualism isn’t for you, definitely pick Columbia.

Chicago’s econ and math departments are unsurpassed, but it’s not like Columbia’s econ/math is bad either.

The two are similar–urban midsized universities (Columbia is slightly larger) with stringent core curricula. You really can’t go wrong with either one. Chicago is a nerdier school, more self-consciously intellectual than Columbia–that may be something you like, or it may be something that drives you up the wall. Visit if you can and see.
