Comments PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE

So today I tried out for my school's basketball team (summer league team). I was the leading scorer last winter, and team captain. And, I didn't make the team. When he told me why, he said that I was too small :(

Does anyone know how I can get stronger and bigger?

Ahhh, I some depressed right now :(

Thanks

This sounds so ■■■■■.

MattNc,

Thanks! Your really a great advice giver. I really appreciate. Y don’t u do us all a favor any dont post anymore cause all ur doing is making it worse for everyone. Your a really nice guy.

Just sayin

…lol, if you were that good last year, he wouldn’t have cut you this year, I assure you. K ■■■■■. :]

Yeah I doubt this is true, but if it is, then I would suggest steroids

Rarely, can I find a school with a coach who would discriminate a player’s height from participating in a sport.

For what it’s worth, I’m from Michael Jordan’s home town and everyone knows he didn’t make the Laney High School team. So I guess like everything else in life. It’s what you do with what happens that matters…

“Jordan played basketball for Laney High School in Wilmington, North Carolina. Ironically, Jordan was cut from the varsity team as a sophomore. Instead of giving up after failing to make the team, Jordan used it to spur himself to greater achievements, practicing hour after hour on the court. “Whenever I was working out and got tired and figured I ought to stop, I’d close my eyes and see that list in the locker room without my name on it,” Jordan said, “and that usually got me going again.” He eventually made the team and led it to the state championship.”

Don’t talk to Mattnc like that!
But no seriously, either you are leaving out important details (like you were the leading scorer on the freshman team and this was for varsity), or you will forever have the aroma of a ■■■■■ to me. If it is the first, just tell us and all will be good. No one likes hostility on CC.

Oh and you might be an idiot if you are seriously asking us a way to get taller and bigger. You can lift weights to get bigger, but aside from hanging from the monkey bars upside down, height doesn’t change buddy. I should know, I’m 5’7" :(

^ hey mattnc is also 5’7. =D

Hey, I know someone else on CC that goes there, but they don’t wanna tell people, so I shall remain disclosed. And woo same height NWGOLFER! :]

^
That story is a myth. School policy was not to allow sophomores on the team. Jordan thought he was special, but the coach stuck with the rules.

Michael Jordan is special :D.

Well as far as the team goes, I was on the freshmen team, and I was leading scorer and team captain (season ended in January). And I guess everyone worked real hard, cause most of the kids on the team improved their skills drastically. However, I still believe that I am a top 5 player. But, Im 5’6", and the next smallest player is 5’11". This was the JV team I got got cut from.

^ Saugus… Sorry but anyone who quotes rules and NC high school sports doesn’t understand how the game is really played… Truly that statement made me laugh. Quite frankly it may have had something to do with other factors common to to the south of 50 years ago, but I don’t know any of that for sure, so I won’t speak to that. What I will tell you is that it had nothing to do with “following the rules”… Thats a myth…
