Common App Activities Section Question

<p>Greetings all.</p>

<p>In the activities section, for the drop down boxes, does "Student Govt./Politics" mean student government and student politics or does it mean student government and politics? For example, I founded a Young Democrats Club at my school and work closely with my local Democratic party. Would these activities be classified under "Student Govt./Politics" or "Other Club/Activity"?</p>

<p>I think probably Student Govt./Politics. I always think these categories are pretty meaningless to the colleges. They will look at what you actually did, even if you choose a category that isn’t where other people might have placed it.</p>
