Common App "Additional Information" Section

I’m currrently working on my common application activities section and was wondering: Is it advisable to use the additional information section to better elaborate on one or two activities of top importance? 150 characters is not enough to truly paint a clear picture of my activities, especially the ones I was heavily involved in.

There are few activities an adcom can’t grasp. If you mean you want to elaborate on what activities within a club, be sure they’re truly relevant to an admit review. Eg, it doesn’t matter that you did x, then y, then z. That can often be consolidated in the Activities space.

The trick with Addl Info is to be brief.

@lookingforward Could this be used for an explanation about circumstance regarding activities? For instance, I played a club sport instead of the varsity version of that sport as my school lacks varsity/JV sports.

I think so.
