Common App AP

I heard that the Common App only gives space for 5 AP scores. Is that true? I took 5 APs, and I made a 3 (Freshman year), a 4, and three 5s. I am applying to Ivies. Should I even put the 3 on it, or will it look bad for me?

AP / SAT Subject / IB tests are all in the same section. There are 8 spaces.

If you have more than that many AP Exams, where do you put the extra scores?

Only 8 spaces? God, I’m gonna have like 16 scores to send in what is this lol.

You just include the other scores in an attachment at the end. That’s what I did, anyway. :)

So you stapled a piece of paper at the end?

There’s a spot at the end of the application for “other academic information” or something like that, as sparklesheen said. You just put in your other AP scores (as well as intended AP tests, I believe) there, if you have more.

It’s ultimately your decision whether or not to include the 3, but I don’t think it would hurt you, especially since you took it freshman year. But this is just a personal opinion.

So that’s interesting. I’ll have taken 3-4 SAT IIs, 5 APs, and 1 IB (which I think I did pretty well on, 5 most likely). Should I include all of my APs even if one isn’t up to par-- would it look bad if I didn’t attach the information with all my scores?

Why are apps so confusing/!

^ Yes, include all your scores. AP scores are unlikely to significantly hurt you. However, it may raise red flags if you took an AP course and didn’t take the exam.
